Fox News North: Network El Cheapo, Part 1,001

The story itself is piffle, about Theo Caldwell's new show on the Sun News Network. Here's the interesting bit:

The Caldwell Account will air weekdays from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sun News Network and the first hour will repeat from 9 to 10 p.m. weeknights.

...which is to say (and which has been said already), no breaking news on Fox News North after 9 pm---a news channel, then, or a non-stop gabfest? And the same one hour piece of a weekly business show every weeknight? What if the market crashes on Wednesday?

At least The Sun makes an attempt at giving both sides of the story as in Warren Kinsella. Who does the CBC have??? What about The Toronto Star????? One sided reporting.

Omar . . . With an educated leader like Ignatieff, you should really show a bit more restraint in your choice of words.

Go to The Sun and type in "columnists" and you will see Warren's name come up. Now do the same at CBC and see what comes up?

And how many columnists work for television news?

CBC has a number of CPC party hacks making regular appearances on their political talk shows. Not to mention Rex Murphy.

The Sun picks a liberal who just so happens to have a major beef with the current Liberal Party and it's leader.

Gayle . . . Do you even read Warren's comments? They are definitely no pro Conservative. And I have heard Rex Murphy blast Conservatives many times. And that's the way it should be. Both sides of the story. However, I noticed a complete absence of The Toronto Star in your comments.

Gayle has a point about Warren. While he does have good things to say or write, he is not working with Michael Ignatieff nor is he actively supporting him. The Sun has Warren as its token Liberal because he is not going to say wonderful things about Ignatieff.

As for Conservative supporters in the Sun, there's Levant, Solberg, Snobelen to name three. There are others who espouse neo-conservative views such as Goldstein, Agar, Granatstein, Blizzard, Levy, MacDonald, Coren, Adler, Mansur, Lilley, and the rest of the gang.

How will I picture Faux News North? It will probably be a lot like CFRB-Newstalk 1010 radio in Toronto. There will be five minutes of news at the top of the hour followed by 55 minutes of babbling drivel from hosts and guests. Commercials that air will be for retail-college diplomas. Get your diploma in nuclear physics in 13 weeks.

Someday, when the Liberals get another leader to Warren Kinsella's liking, the Sun may terminate his employment for some reason.

I thought the particularly interesting, and TELLING part, NNW put this "joins Sun news" story in the entertainment section. Now if we can only get Lorrie Goldstein's columns put in there, it might be progress...

Why should we when you show no restraint in making a complete ass of yourself trolling on progressive blogs like this. You just show what a complete moron you are with this typical Reformatory 'liberal biased CBC' bullshit.

Provide evidence that our media is left-biased, ANY OF IT. Just because you say it is doesn’t make it so.

Regular conservative commentators on CBC:
- Andrew Coyne
- Allan Gregg
- Rex Murphy
- Tom Flanagan
- Tasha Kheiriddin
- Monte Solberg
- Gerry Nicholls
+ many other, but the point is made.

PK is a riot. Warren Kinsella single voice of Sun vs:

Regular conservative commentators on CBC (courtesy of TofKW):
- Andrew Coyne
- Allan Gregg
- Rex Murphy
- Tom Flanagan
- Tasha Kheiriddin
- Monte Solberg
- Gerry Nicholls
+ many other, but the point is made

The Kid keeps mentioning CBC and (local) The Star. Lets see, vs. (national):

- Sun Media
- PostMedia
- CTV ("home of the Con ads")
- Macleans
- Globe & Mail

Good research there, PK. As they say, facts have a liberal bias. And the Canadian media has a conservative one.

"However, I noticed a complete absence of The Toronto Star in your comments."

That is the paper that hosts that well-known LPC lover/fawner Persichilli, right? The paper that keeps printing all this stuff from "unknown senior liberals"?

The Star is openly liberal, however to say they do not provide both sides of the story is an out and out lie. The Sun chain has one token liberal columnist who they use to pretend they are giving both sides, when they also openly admit their conservative bias, is run by some guy who went there almost straight from the PMO and has spent years trying to sell this silly "media bias" thing as a means to justify their own shoddy biased reporting (remember when they fired the guy for outing Harper on the fake lake? Good times, good times...).

Nice try, but you fail.

I don't know why I let these clots get to me. Their distortion of facts and outright lying isn't any different then the modus operandi of the government they choose to so fervently support. The PK's of the blogosphere are really no great surprise. It's hard though to refrain from offering them a hardy 'fuck off' and not so secretly hoping they die a premature and particularly painful death. Soon.
